MALONE ISLAND ASSOCIATION NEWSLETTER

Good Morning Everyone

The harbor is about empty, which means the closure of another wonderful season here on the island. The Board wishes to Thank everyone of our members who participated and volunteered their services to our Association.

One question that came up at the annual business meeting was contact information being posted at the city owned sewage liftstation next to the roadway. I have spoken to the city and they are hesitant to place a sign. However, I was told that the current alarm system automatically calls city personnel with any alarm condition when it occurs. If there ever are other issues  it was recommended to call the public works or city police department.

Yesterday, we contracted Curt Halverson to install and rearrange rock around the culvert on the outlot to diminish the affects of erosion from the lake. The targeted completion will be sometime the week of 10-19-2020.

I have also attached a copy of the most recent minutes from our Board meeting on 10-09-2020. We would appreciate if everyone would review this. Please note the important meeting dates have been set. Please mark your calendars accordingly.

We are in the process of completing our website as has been discussed for some time now.. Much more to come later
